We skipped the first dive and then Randy did the second dive on the wreck of the Predator, a landing craft converted to a fishing boat. It was sitting in about 80 feet of water. The fun part of the dive was that the Atlantis, a battery powered submarine, came by and we could see the people on board looking at us. Not something you normally see on a dive!

Once back in port the crew cleaned our gear, then we had lunch and then packed everything up. We said our goodbyes to the crew and then they took us about 45 minutes up the coast to the Mauna Lani Bay hotel where we would spend our last day. It was a really nice hotel set right on the ocean.

We all met at the pool and sampled the mai tais, margueritas and piña coladas. We also determined that margueritas were an effective scurvy preventative. Quite a number of drinks and two hot tubs later, we headed back to the room for a rest and then down to a tasty sushi dinner.

We had breakfast with Fred then hung out in the room until 11:30, when we headed to the airport and our flight home. After a lovely experience with disaster at check-in and security, we went right on to the plane.

                        Camera Gear

We used the same gear as on our trip to Fiji last year: Randy had a Nikon D300 in a Sea & Sea housing, Rick used a Sony HC3 in a Gates housing. We shot over 1700 pictures, 95 ended up here on the website.
